Larson is the co-inventor of limited play optical disc technology in cooperation with optical researchers Dr. JB Merry, Dr. M. Cunningham, and Dr. J. Owens, and the inventor of card display and retention technology.

list of America's Top 10 Entrepreneur's Under the Age of 30. Larson was a finalist in the 2005 Breakthrough Ideas and was a semi-finalist for the 2006 Minnesota Cup.
