In 2003, he produced the album oups for the group Valérianne et ses fines herbes. He was also nominated for an ADISQ
award for his own album "fuzzy trash pop". Shunned by the mainstream media because of his unpredictability, Karlof nevertheless had some favorable coverage in written and aleternative media.
