. They operate 8 fixed-route bus lines, on a two bus per hour schedule from 6:00AM to 8:00PM on most routes.

Plans are underway to coordinate the transit systems of the City of Lawrence and the University of Kansas. The first step towards integration, in 2008, was the acceptance of each others transfers and passes on scheduled routes.

T Lift

 service to serve the needs of riders who, because of a disability, are unable to use the Lawrence Transit System fixed-route system, and who meet the criteria established by the U.S. Department of Transportation under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. The T Lift charges $2.00 for a one-way ride, and discounts for bulk-ride purchases. Those who are eligible for the T Lift qualify for a reduced fare of $.50 on regular fixed-route bus services on the T.

Fleet

The T operates a fleet of 12 Eldorado National 29' medium duty buses, 3 40' Gillig Hybrid buses and 6 Eldorado National cutaway style fixed route buses. The T also has a fleet of 16 paratransit cutaway style buses.

KU on Wheels has a fleet of 47 Gillig busses. Five 1987 35' Gillig Phantom, four 2009 35' Gillig Low Floor, five 2008 40' Gillig Low Floor, 20 1990 40' Gillig Phantom, Eight 1994 40' Gillig Phantom, and five 2006 35' Optima Opus used for Park & Ride.
