. The song has been covered in many languages, including Vietnamese, Korean, Spanish and German. A dance song in German to the same tune, Reiss die Hütte ab (Tear The Hut Down), was recorded by Mickie Krause (Apres Ski Hits 2003).

Stott was killed in an accident in 1977 while riding a Harley Davidson which he allegedly purchased using profits from Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.

He also released other minor hits, Jakaranda and Love Is Free, Love Is Blind, Love Is Good.
