Initially married to Lord Alexander Felsham, and living at Felsham Hall when Lovejoy first meets her she quickly strikes up a friendly relationship with Lovejoy, often helping him with his deals, and at one point going into business with him. She commonly had to bail out Lovejoy with money, at various times during their acquaintance.

After Lord Felsham bankrupts himself and leaves her, she begins to become more romantically close to Lovejoy. They kiss but never take their relationship any farther than that. At the beginning of series five she leaves to live in America, working as an interior designer but returns for the final episode "Last Tango in Lavenham".
