, Kur had a population of approximately 325 inhabitants in mid-year 2006. 7.9% of the population of Kur were refugees in 1997. The healthcare facilities for Kur are based in Kafr 'Abbush, where the facilities are designated as MOH level 2.

History

Al Jayyousis built and inhabited the throne village of Kur around 500 years ago.[1] Despite the economic and social hardships caused by the Israeli occupation (i.e. one third of its inhabitants were forced out of their homes by the Israel Defense Forces in The Six-Day War [2] and many have been taken as prisoners) they remain to be the only inhabitants of the throne village of Kur (located in the middle of Nablus, Tulkarem and Qalqilia district triangle also known as the administrative center of the Banu Sa’ab district.)[3] The village contains 29 historic castles and fortresses.

The village was a strategic key in the wars and campaigns that have occurred in Palestine
