In 2005, the Kryts was 10-15 thousand people. They speak the Kryts language Lezgian branch Nakh-Dagestani family. In addition, all owned by the Azerbaijani language.

Number and culture

Number Kryts according to H. Seidlitz, extracted from posemeynyh lists in 1886, was 7,767 people. In «The Sociolinguistic Situation of the Kryts in Azerbaijan» indicated that the number of Gryz is 10 000 - 15 000.
