Due to their poor performance, Adams and Clark were dropped from the WWF roster soon after and assigned to a WWF developmental territory - to work on their in-ring skills. Unwilling to comply, they were released from their WWF contracts.

They returned for the WRESTLE-1 show on January 19, 2003 losing to Keiji Mutoh and Goldberg. Both Adams and Clark suffered spinal injuries during the match, forcing both of them into retirement. Adams died in August 2007.
