. The stadium can serve around 5,500 supporters . The stadium used to be FC Kotayk Abovian's home ground in the Soviet period and after Independence, however as the club was dissolved, the stadium is being used by other teams as a temporary field.

The stadium is also the main venue of the Armenia national rugby union team
