History

Kopitonez was founded in 1998 at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. The group performs a variety of songs in many different languages, including but not limited to English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Korean, Japanese, and Singaporean. The group has performed in events such as Celebrasia and Lunar Ball, hosted by the Chinese Student Association at the University of Michigan, as well as A Cappella Rush, MACFest, and Charity Fest, hosted by the Michigan A Cappella Council.

Members

The members of Koptitonez are selected through a closed audition process. Once a member is selected by the group, the member may choose to accept or decline membership.

Leadership positions are elected by the group at the Annual meeting, at the end of each school year.
