. It is a Community Kollel, that it reaches out to the community by inviting members of the community to study Torah with the Kollel men. In addition, the members of the Kollel engage in classic in-depth Talmudic study during the hours of the day when most of the community members are at work. The Kollel was established in October 2007, and is currently headed by Rabbi Mordechai Scheiner. The kollel is located in BAYT

History

The Kollel was started by Rabbi Avrohom Bitterman, Rav of Ateres Mordechai, also located in Thornhill. Rabbi Mordechai Scheiner is the present Rosh Kollel. Rabbi Chaim Leib Gross in Executive Director, and Rabbi Mordy Weinberg is Director of Community Development. The Kollel consists of 9 full-time Avreichim, and another 13 part-time members. The Kollel is enjoying great success and continues to thrive under his leadership.

organizations, including the BAYT.
One of the yeshivos in the city has night seder for some of their talmidim at the Kollel nightly.
