, and is a popular destination for tourists seeking tropical paradise and sandy beaches.

The major destinations for tourists are Big Milly's Backyard, a resort run since 1995, Bahdoosh, a beer bar, hostel and restaurant located next door run by a young Australian expat.Both businesses integrate well with the local community, with the seafront generally being a mix of tourists, souvenir traders and local fishermen.

A brand new, but very hip place is SOON COME Restaurant, Lodge and Entertainment Centre with special show , Live Acts, traditional Croups and DJ´s with a laser show. They provide delicious food and comfortable lodges.

Other attractions include the Academy of African Music and Arts (AAMA), which provides lodging, food and weekend dance and drumming shows. Some restaurants (other than Milly's) are the Kokrobite Garden Restaurant (Franco's place, Italian Food), Ocean View Garden Restaurant (Mary and Gloria's place), and Restaurant Calabash (Mada's place).

Kokrobite beach can be dangerous at night, so beware of pickpockets and petty thieves. Fortunately, since the recent building of the local police station, these problems have considerably diminished. During the day the beach and surrounding villages are generally safe, friendly, and used to visitors.
