. It was heavily damaged during the Hussite Wars

 and eventually became dilapidated. It was repaired in 1911–1918 and nationalized in 1948. It has been a National Cultural Landmark since 2001. After the castle and the same-name village is named the whole nature preservation area of Kokořínsko.
