Koestraat is the only green campus location of Roosevelt Academy, a small liberal arts and science college in Middelburg
, the Netherlands. It houses approximately 240 students from all over the world.
During the month of September in 2011, the Second Floor made a charity event for other Roosevelt Students. During this event students were able to use the showers for a fee of 5 euro's. Women were offered a discount of 2,75 euro's since it was believed that they use less water during shower, which was investigated during a statistical investigation. The reason for this event was because the Roggeveen student building had no water supply for several unexpected days. The total amount of money raised at this moment is still unknown since the event is still ongoing. All money will be donated to Green Peace
Green Peace contacted the second floor again during the beginning of October 2011. The reason for this was that Roggeveenhof was out of water again during the hottest days of summer. Since the inhabitants of Roggenveenhof were in danger of dehydration, the second floor established a second fundraiser and offered showers to the victims once again. As far as known, nobody was injured severely.
As of today, the residents of Koestraat are widely admired by the other students for their generosity, and the K2 Strip residents have received many cakes and other services from the Roggeveenhof women, as a sign of their admiration and gratitude.

Koestraat was renovated into changed into a student dorm in 2007. The rooms in Koestraat are single or double rooms. All rooms have the base colors of blue, red or yellow. A SmartCube is installed as a bathroom and kitchen. In 2010 solar panels were installed on the roof, creating the first green campus location of Zeeland.Second Floor
The second floor of Koestraat has received an award for being the most social floor of the entire Roosevelt Academy campuses. The reason for nomination was due to the newly built K2 strip. The K2 strip is a group of young students who are known to organize and host various successful events.
