in the UK. It was built in Kobe, Japan and was originally based in a theme park called 'Portopialand' (Now Defunct) under the name 'BMRX'/'Bavarian Mountain Railroad'. After the park closed, the rollercoaster was shipped over to the UK in 2007 where Camelot would reveal their latest coaster- Knightmare, it cost them £3 million to build, takes you through sharp turns and a vertical bend (commonly known as "the psyco drop") half way through the ride where you expierience approximately 5G, reaching speeds of about 40 mph and holds a record for one of the longest rollercoasters in the world at over 2,600 ft long.

The trains are big enough to fit 14 people, taking them up a semi-spiral lift up to 80 ft tall and then dropping them into an over-banked curve, the ride has a height restriction of 1.3 metres. It is located in the 'Playland' Area of Camelot, situated on the site of the former looping rollercoaster- The Gauntlet. Knightmare is a unique rollercoaster, there are only two of its kind in the world. It was officially opened on 31 March 2007 and reports suggest that the rollercoaster was an instant success to the riders.
