On November 9, 2006, Kinnelon's girls soccer team won the North 1 Group I tournament, defeating Cresskill High School

In 2007 the girls soccer team became the first Group 2 school to win the Morris County Tournament championship. At the time it was considered to be an accomplishment that topped their previous year's state championship because the county tournament presented the challenge of much larger schools than they did during their run to the 2006 Group 1 state title. Coach Steve Racine said it was a "Once in a generation accomplishment". He was proven wrong in 2008 when the Colts shared the county title with West Morris high school.

The girls basketball team won the 2007 North 1 Group I sectional championship with a 48-37 win over Butler High School

On March 22, 2008, the Kinnelon ice hockey team beat the Jefferson Township High School
