Kill Theory is a 2008 horror-thriller film directed by Chris Moore and written by Kelly C. Palmer.

Plot

Three years ago, an unnamed man was sentenced to a mental institution for cutting the rope that held his three friends during a mountain climbing trip, sending the trio plunging to their deaths. Although he maintained that he did it only to save himself from the same fate, he was convicted of manslaughter and now upon his release, he's still bitter about the trial.
His mind warped from the entire experience, the man ventures to a remote lakeside home where seven teens are celebrating their upcoming college graduation -- later joined by an eighth, Alex (Taryn Manning), the stepsister of Brent (Teddy Dunn), whose father owns the house. Obsessed by the concept of being desperate enough to kill one's friends, the man presents the group with a demented scenario: if, by 6:00 AM, more than one of them is still alive, he will kill everybody who remains. If any of them wants to survive the night, he or she has to kill the others and be the last one standing.
