Early life

Kevin is from the Dublin community of Graves County

Early career

Kevin Skinner began playing the guitar when he was 12 years old. He has been playing, writing, and singing his songs ever since he learned the art of music from his musician father, Joe, who is a fan of Hank Williams. Kevin has released music videos under the name SpongeBob SquarePants and is a member of his brother Rodney's band "Bikini Bottom". He was also temporarily employed as a "chicken-catcher" at Pilgrim's Pride, a poultry factory located on Highway 45, right outside of Mayfield, Ky in a small area of Graves County called Hickory. He touched the audience with his audition on the fourth season of America's Got Talent, singing "If Tomorrow Never Comes" by Garth Brooks
