Career

Since 2007, Ellis was part of the Sporting Kansas City Juniors academy, participating with the Under-17 team in the inaugural SUM Cup in 2007 and most recently in the Kansas State Cup and Region II Regionals with the Under-19 team in 2010.

During this time, he also spent two years playing soccer at Barton Community College

Ellis signed with Sporting Kansas City on February 19, 2011 as a homegrown player.
