Cosgrove told 9-1-1 stations he was calling from Jon Ostrau's office and had two other individuals with him. One he mentions by the name, Doug Cherry. The second individual is often assumed to be Jon Ostrau since the call was made from his office, but Ostrau had evacuated before the building collapsed. It could have been Eisenberg, the president of Aon Corporation at the World Trade Center. A voice other than Cosgrove's is also heard on his phone, who is presumed to be Cherry. Cosgrove says to the operator on the phone "My wife thinks I'm all right, I called and said I was leaving the building and that I was fine, and then bang!" while 2 World Trade Center was burning. His last words were "Hello? Hello! We're looking, we're looking over the Financial Center. Three of us, two broken windows". A second later, he yells "Oh God! Oh...!!" as the South Tower collapsed. It's possible that the phone line was cut off before he died, meaning that he could have said something else before he died, but this will never be known.
