Katherine Evelyn Heyhoe (born April 9, 1955 in Los Angeles, California) is an American editor and author. She currently lives in the Hill Country of Central Texas.
In 1994, Kate Heyhoe co-founded the electronic Gourmet Guide (aka The eGG), one the first websites dedicated to food and cooking. In 1995 she developed food sites for America Online and in 1996 launched The Global Gourmet website at www.globalgourmet.com.

Katherine Evelyn Heyhoe (born April 9, 1955 in Los Angeles, California) is an American editor and author. She currently lives in the Hill Country of Central Texas.
In 1994, Kate Heyhoe co-founded the electronic Gourmet Guide (aka The eGG), one the first websites dedicated to food and cooking. In 1995 she developed food sites for America Online and in 1996 launched The Global Gourmet website at www.globalgourmet.com. The electronic Gourmet Guide merged into the Global Gourmet in 1998. She is currently Executive Editor of The Global Gourmet and writes a monthly food column about culinary topics.
A graduate of the University of Texas, she pursued her Master's Degree at the School of Radio, Film, and Television. She has been a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) since 1994.
Books Heyhoe has authored seven books:

Kate Heyhoe's next book is New Green Basics: Greener Ways to Cook, Shop, and Clean, to be published by Da Capo Books (Perseus Books Group) in January 2009.
