News Coverage

"Fox Texoma" carries all programs, special presentations, and most breaking news made for Fox produced by Fox News. "Fox Texoma" also has national and regional syndicated news programs.

Prior to September 2009, Fox Texoma did not offer local news and weather coverage, with the exception of breaking weather alerts.

In September 2009, Fox Texoma began to offer five minutes of news and weather every Monday to Friday at 9:00PM CT. The segments were similar to KXII-DT1's news clips that air in between segments of The Early Show. The weather & news was only local coverage and the studio design & music was identical to KXII DT-1's First News (which itself uses the default music that CBS stations use for their local news). The clips on DT3 were hosted by DT1's evening news anchors.

Fox Texoma presents Sports Overtime, an occasional First Sports program on Friday nights. There is also an interviewing program called "First News Forum". Breaking weather alerts air on KXII and both subchannels. If breaking local or regional news occurs, it airs on DT1 while an SD CBS feed has aired on DT2. KXII is presently unable to broadcast MyTexoma in HDTV because of video and aspect capabilities of individual signals with multiplexed ATSC

 broadcasts.

The clips that were regularly scheduled on weeknights were known on-air as "First News At Nine". "First News Forum" is hosted by Daniel Armbruster. Fox News articles are not on KXII's web channel. The Fox Texoma page on KXII.com was originally powered by TMZ.com and only displayed content from that website.

Since September 2011, Fox Texoma began to air its newscasts in High Definition, and expanded its newscasts to 5 hours per week. The programming airs at 5:30PM CT and 9:00PM CT Monday through Friday. Reporters fill in whenever the regular personalities are not available. To individualize itself from its main CBS channel, KXII launched different designs and music, as well as a news anchor & a weather anchor dedicated to Fox Texoma newscasts. The Fox Texoma website has been redesigned and now contains a link to FoxNews.com. KXII-DT3 has yet to produce a "Good Day Texoma" program, as well as coverage from Fox News correspondents.
