Programming includes "The Invasion", hosted by Jay Michaels on Saturday nights from 8 pm to midnight, which features a wide variety of Christian rock, rap, hip-hop, and alternative. The Invasion is also a staple supporter of the local Christian music scene, and has helped several bands in their careers (i.e.: Foolish Things, Issachar Prophet, & Three Cord Wonder).

History

KRKS-FM signed on the air in 1975 as KBVL. In 1988, Adams Communications assumed conrol of the station from Sterling Radio. The format would become KHIH/"Smooth Jazz

94-7". Noble Communications would purhase KHOW-AM & KHIH-FM in 1993.
Salem Communications would purchase KHIH from Noble in 1994. Salem, primarily a company that operates Christian stations, would drop the Smooth Jazz format in September 1994 for its current format.
