History

The station went on the air as KPTO on 12/01/2005.

On December 18, 2008, radio industry website 100000watts.com reported that KPTO had gone silent, though no explanation was given for this.

On May 29, 2009, The US Bankruptcy Court in Salt Lake City, UT appointed a receiver to take over KPTO AM. US Capital, Incorporated of Boulder CO. foreclosed on Legecy Media, the owners of KPTO and several other stations. At this time the station remains silent pending liquidation of the company.
