Both stations also share a studio facility at this site, although, since the call-letter and format change in 2005, the FM studio has been relegated mostly to the broadcasting of live and local Muscatine area programming, mainly remote broadcasts of Muscatine area high-school sports, and occasional special broadcasts of community events.

Call Sign History

The Muscatine allocation for 93.1 MHz signed on the air in June 1996 as KWCC, and switched to its current KMCS call sign on November 2, 2005.

The former KWCC was branded as 93 Country from its inauguration in 1996 until its call sign change and change to its current Mac FM branding on November 2, 2005. During this time, the station played a country music

, happened in November 2005, with both the new stations branded as "93.1 & 94.7 Mac FM." KWCC changed its call letters to KMCS, which stands for Mac South, while its sister station in Clinton
