History

The station was assigned the call letters KBFQ on May 15, 1998. In June 2000, the station changed its call sign to KMMZ and a few months later on November 24, 2000 to KMKZ. The station then reverted back to KMMZ on September 15, 2003 and on February 16, 2004 became KFNY. Finally, on March 30, 2005 the station became the current call sign, KFXY.
