History

The station went on the air as KLTR on 1960-12-20. On 1989-10-12, the station changed its call sign to KHEN, and on 2007-03-13 to KHTZ. On 2008-09-10, the station changed its call letters to KULF and on 2009-02-02 to the current KAPN.

On December 2, 2010, the station flipped from modern adult contemporary to oldies.
