A boarding school is a school where some or all pupils study and live during the school year with their fellow students and possibly teachers and/or administrators. The word 'boarding' is used in the sense of "bed and board," i.e., lodging and meals...

located in the mountains of San Diego, California. JYA is a program of Teen Rescue, Inc., a nationwide support service that has helped over 15,000 families since 1989. An all girls boarding school, JYA helps teen girls in need of regular supervision. JYA provides an individualized education program, coaching, intervention, parent-training support groups, a high staff-to-student ratio, and after care support.

Philosophy

Executive Director of the Academy is Phil Ludwig, founder of Teen Rescue, Inc. which helps locate missing children, provides special parent education, and assists families in crisis to get help for struggling teens. His philosophy is that parents must be willing to fully be involved with their child as well as the recovery program assisting the family. JYA attempts to restore the students who attend to better learning, and a healthier outlook on life through educational instruction, and firm but loving boundaries.
