, Grbac studied fashion design at Gateway TAFE in Brisbane and later went on to study fashion design in London. Grbac worked as a hand sewer for various companies before starting her own label.

She started her own label Grbac in 2002. Grbac then opened a store in the TC Beirne Centre in Fortitude Valley's Brunswick Street Mall, but closed it two years later. She works from the basement in her mother's house, and imports the designs all over Australia. Her collection consists of long, silky, feminine dresses.

She won the first ever Project Runway Australia. Her most famous dress was the dress she created for singer Kelly Rowland

Grbac married her fiance Paul in 2008 in an intimate ceremony after previously postponing the wedding because she had to appear on Project Runway. A year later on 21 August, the pair tied the knot again in a lavish ceremony at St Stephens Cathedral in Brisbane, followed by a reception for 200 guests including Project Runway alumni. She wore three dresses during the special day, all of which she made herself.
