 . His usual position is at flanker. He started his career playing for Grove RFC in the junior leagues in Oxfordshire. He moved to play professionally for Newcastle Falcons RFC, from where he won two caps for Scotland in the VI Nations, both as a replacement. After a spell at Leeds Carnegie he moved to Gran Parma in Italy for the 2009/10 season.
