 photographer. His work encompasses a wide range of topics, from portraits to landscapes, with a special emphasis on abstract close-ups.
He has received numerous awards from local shows, including Best in Show at the 2000 Lynchburg Fine Arts Center Juried Photography Contest. Shuptrine has also had several gallery and commercial shows in Lynchburg, Charlottesville and Roanoke, VA. He has won a Gold Award in the latest edition of B+W Magazine Single Image Contest Awards 2005. He is also a member of the Blue Ridge Photographic Arts Society. Recently, he has won another Gold award in the latest edition of B+W Magazine Single Contest Awards 2007, along with a Silver Medal in the same edition.
His work appears all over the country as he is constantly gaining recognition in the Black and White photography culture.
