John Rashleigh was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons
from 1661 to 1679.
Rashleigh was the son of Jonathan Rashleigh
, of Menabilly
, Cornwall
who had been a long-serving member for his local borough of Fowey
. He was admitted at Brasenose College, Oxford
in 1637.
Rashleigh and his father were elected together to the Cavalier Parliament
in 1661 as Members of Parliament for Fowey
. He served to the end of the Parliament, but was not elected again.
Rashleigh married Joan Pollexfen in 1640. They had five children including his heir Jonathan (1642–1702), who was High Sheriff of Cornwall
and also MP for Fowey.
