Subsequent to the Basson trail, Theron never bothered to apply for amnesty from the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) http://www.suntimes.co.za/mampara/2000/theron.asp as he was never formally charged with the crimes he claimed to have committed. No image of him has ever been published.
