Holmes began her television career in 1999. She worked at Nickelodeon where she was an intern for Nickelodeon Games and Sports

 and began co-hosting Slime Time Live, six months later. The series was presented with an award for Outstanding Children's Program, by the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association in 2002. The show lasted 8 seasons.

In late 2003, Holmes moved to New York City

 to host Bragging Rights, a reality game show series that aired on OLN (now Versus

Currently she is co-host of the KTLA 9 am Morning News and weathercaster/anchor on the KTLA 1pm Afternoon News.
