Brown began his acting career, at the age of 12, in the debut performance of The Grapes of Wrath at the Chicago Steppenwolf Theatre. He was a member of the Second City
during his high school
years, before joining the Theatre School, De Paul University in Chicago where he earned his bachelor of fine arts
. During summer breaks, he taught acting as well as drumming at the Wavy Gravy's Camp Winnarainbow.
He currently performs with the Blue Man Group
