In December 1900 the Jeffersonville Township Public Library was created and three years later opened a Carnegie Library

All children's books, young adult novels, young adult talking books, as well as children and teen magazines are in the upstairs area of the library called Youth Services. DVDs are located only in the downstairs of the library. DVDs may only be checked out downstairs.
Nonfiction books are shelved by the Dewey Decimal System rather than the Library of Congress system.
