. The tramway will have a full path on the surface, passing along the main thoroughfares of the city to reach the industrial and business areas, as well as other points of interest.

Jaén tramway system will involve a major realignment of traffic on major avenues and areas of the city, along with a new configuration of local bus lines.

Lines

Line 1 runs at full surface in the town of Jaén, with all traffic-independent platforms. Intersections will be the only contact points with motor vehicular traffic.

Future

The possibility exists of building other lines that reach to different parts of the region and join the capital city with its metropolitan area. One possible avenue would be on Andalusia and Córdoba Carretra where one leaves the capital to reach Torredelcampo, Jamilena, Torredonjimeno, Martos, Mancha Real, the princesses and Mengíbar.
