in 1989 and that's where his journey began as a cinematographer. After getting his degree in Photography from JNTU he worked as an assistant to the noted cinematographer Sameer Reddy

won Best Cinematography Award in Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Australia. Jayakrishna received the Award on behalf of Sudheer Palsane, the main Cinematographer for the film.

In 2010, he won National Award for Best Cinematography in non feature film category for "When this man dies". As he was collecting the Award from President Pratibha Patil the citation read "Using highly sophisticated texture and tonal work, with deep anticipation into the flow and narrative of the film, the cinematography strives to redefine ways of image making and experience"
