. However, UCF relieved Jay Bergman of his duties on May 1, 2008 for alleged harassment towards an equipment manager. It is unknown whether UCF plans to retain Jay Bergman's name on the stadium for the long term.
Within the last few years, Jay Bergman Field has been expanded from 1,980 seats to 2,230. In addition, 1,000 fans can be accommodated on grass berms located along the first and third base lines as well as beyond the outfield fence. Further renovations are planned in the next few years, which will bring seating to a total capacity at 4,180. The facility's record attendance of 3,601 was set during an April 2011 game, in which the Knights upset the No. 5 Florida Gators
