Pinizzotto was signed by the Schwenninger Wild Wings organization to a contract as a free agent following 2 years in the DEL. Jason was a 3rd OHL draft with the Barrie Colts and was the Top Scoring leader for the OPJHL Couchiching Terriers prior to turning professional.

Hockey career

Jason began his career with the OHA Provincial Jr A Oakville Blades (OPJHL) as an underage player at 16 years old. In 1997 he was drafted in the 3rd round by the OHL Barrie Colts. During his first season with Barrie, he spent time with their affiliate team Couchiching Terriers. In 1998 suited up for the St. Michael's Majors where he finished the season with 24 points. The following season, Pinizzotto returned to Couchiching (OPJHL). Jason was highly recognized in the OHA finishing his season with 140 Points in 49 games with 54 goals and 86 assists in 1999

Jason to university, playing for York University Lions where he became the Rookie of the year. In 2001-2002 season, he led the team to a OUA Mid-West Division Championship and took part in the CIS National Championships. In 2002, the York Lions took part in the Bell Cup for their first time in history. 2003-04 OUA Championship and again by 2004 season the team once again won the Queen's Cup.

After 4 years with York Lions, with over a point a game 117 points in 102 games and securing his university degree, Jason left to play in the 2005-06 season in the Bundesliga League in Germany.

His first two seasons in Germany were spent in the Bundesliga for Bremerhaven BEV Fischtown Pinguins. He picked up 33 points in 31 games in his first season and 71 pints in 52 games in his second season which led to a position in the DEL - Germany's elite hockey league.

In 2007-08 Jason signed with the DEG Metro Stars in the DEL. The team moved their way to the semi-finals. Jason signed with the Hamburg Freezers in 2008-09 but had a difficult season. He suffered a shoulder injury early in the season but soon he was back in shape and signed for the 2009-10 season with the Schwenninger Wild Wings in the Bundesliga. His first year with 36 points in 38 games helped lead the team to a 1st place finish in the 14 team league during regular season.

August 2010, Jason has 491 career points in 484 games.
