 in Atlanta, and in June 2006, while still working in general media operations, he began writing and hosting a CNN.com video podcast called The Gryst. On July 26, 2007, after 57 episodes, The Gryst officially became News of the Absurd, ushering in new graphics, music, and technologies to keep up with the re-launch of CNN.com and the podcast's growing popularity. In April 2009, Bellini began doing a regular Daily Distraction segment for CNN.com LIVE, sharing interesting and offbeat web videos. Both News of the Absurd and Daily Distraction aired on CNN.com until November 2009. On May 26, 2010, Bellini launched a new offbeat writing blog called the Random Article Project which utilizes the 'Random Article' button on Wikipedia to generate topics.
