. He is a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School. In 2006, Jackson was suspended from the Texas Tech team for academic reasons, but it wasn't long before he was able to be back on the court. In his senior year at Texas Tech, Jackson was a recipient of the Lowe's Senior Class Award, recognizing his contributions on and off the basketball court.

In recent years, he has played in Italy, first in Legadue and then for Casale Monferrato. Jackson signed a two year contract with Prima Veroli in July, 2010.
