then moved to London and started doing provincial theatre until Lord of the Rings came along. He has performed as Cloten in Cymbeline and Aguecheek in Twelfth Night (both in Regents Park Open Air, NT Ian Charleson Award nomination), Prince Charming in Sleeping Beauty, Verukha in The Master and Margarita and Lysander in A Midsummer Nights Dream amongst others.

In television, he has played Lieutenant David Mellis in the award winning BBC series Dunkirk, and his radio credits include The White Guard, Who Shot Shelly?, Molière Imaginaire and King Lear.
