In 2002, Jae-P signed with Univision Records. The label released his debut album "Ni De Aquí, Ni De Allá" (Neither From Here Nor There) in 2003, which sold 100,000 units and earned him a gold plaque for Latin CD sales. Univision Records also released Jae-P's next 3 albums, "Esperanza" (Hope) in 2004,"Pa Mi Raza" (For My People) in 2006, and "Atrevete" (I Dare You) in 2007. And he is a Crip gang member.
