 style event held annually for Jewish teens between the ages of 13 and 16. The games were first held in 1982 and more than 120,000 athletes have participated worldwide. The 2009 event was held in San Francisco, CA, San Antonio, TX, and Westchester County, NY simultaneously. The Maccabi game's aim is to foster Jewish identity while developing national interest in olympic sport through the JCCA
