In summer 2007, Iliev transferred to PAOK with one-year contract. PAOK are brother clubs with Iliev's first club Partizan

. This was a very popular move among the PAOK and Partizan fans. He scored his first goal for PAOK in a 2–0 away win over Apollon Kalamarias in 2008.

He spent 2008–09 season with Energie Cottbus, making 27 league appearances and scoring 3 goals.

At the end of the 2009 summer transfer window, Iliev was bought by Israel

i team Maccabi Tel Aviv. After a season that started with big promise and great performances he spent more than a half season injured. Iliev was released from Maccabi after only one season.

On 21 July 2010, he signed a one-year contract with Partizan. He re-debuted for the club on 28 July in a match against Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi, scoring a goal. In 2010–11 season he won Serbian SuperLiga

On 10 June 2011, Iliev joined Polish Ekstraklasa side Wisła Kraków on a free transfer from Partizan. He signed a two year deal.
