According to interviews, Ivan Ives spent his early childhood playing piano and learning the works of Shakespeare. He took an interest to poetry and hip hop

Fresh The Hitman is Ivan's main producer, responsible for such tracks as 'Victory', 'Villain' and 'Got It' - which has been featured in numerous skate videos, including the new film [Shot From Dark]. 'Villain' is now airing on MTV as well as VH1.

Ivan's European fan base has been growing, especially in Poland.

Ivan completed a dozen tours in North America from July 2007 - November 2010; And with more mixtape releases and albums put out on his No Threshold imprint, Ivan has released over a dozen albums since 2007. His album Newspeak charted on iTunes in the top 500 hip hop albums upon its release.
