Ioanna Kuçuradi is a Turkish philosopher of Greek (Rûm
) descendant. She is currently the president of Philosophical Society Of Turkey and a full time academic of Maltepe University.

Biography
Prof. Kuçuradi was born on 4 October 1936 in Istanbul, Turkey. After studies in Philosophy at Istanbul University, she graduated with a Ph.D. in 1965. Ioanna Kuçuradi has been working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Istanbul and the Atatürk University in Erzurum. She was Founder and Head of the Department of Philosophy at Hacettepe University where she also taught as Professor of Philosophy. From 1997 to 2005, Prof. Kuçuradi was Founding Director of the Centre for Research and Application of the Philosophy of Human Rights at Hacattepe University. She is also Holder ofa UNESCO Chair of Philosophy since 1998. Since 2006, Prof. Kuçuradi teaches philosophy and acts as Director of the Centre for Research and Application of Human Rights at Maltepe University.Zappeion Greek Gymnasium for Girls, Istanbul (graduated in 1954)
