is a technically competent film which narrates the tragic tale of a talented painter who kicks the bottle halfway through his life. The film sends a strong message against addiction to alcohol. It does not address the problems of addiction and the reformation process in totality but takes up the commercial film route of narration with the backing of superb cinematography and scintillating music.
Suri, who has written the script and directed the film, follows the familiar pattern of narration in telling the story right from the beginning. There is no flashback to confuse the audience and each sequence has a specific framing and mood to take the story forward. Where Suri wins the battle is the way in which he narrates each sequence of the film.
The ambience in which he creates the background is perfect and sinks very well with the story. Hats off to Suri for talking about a bold subject that any not to palpable to all sections of film fans and narrating it with a greater degree of authenticity and concern.
Inthi Ninna Preethiya is a technically brilliant. Each shot's composition and framing takes the film to stronger visual heights. Sathya Hegde has done brilliant work behind the camera and his lighting goes well with the mood of a sequence. Sadhu Kokila's music is another highlight of the film and two songs are very good. Shashidhar Adapa's art work is also very good.
Srinigar Kitty who has been rechristened as Krishna delivers a powerful performance in the role of a talented painter getting into the habit of drinking. Sonu as his lover makes a good debut and the dubbing artists who has lent voice to this girl has done a perfect job. Bhavana comes out with a brilliant performance as a subdued wife who tries to reform her husband. Bit it is veteran artists Rangayana Raghu and Kishore who steal the show with their impeccable performance.
Overall, Inthi Ninna Preethiya is a commercial film with good artistic value.
