. The editor is Stephen David Ross. The journal began publishing under this title with volume 6 in 1974. The first five volumes (1969-1973) were published as Studi Internazionali di Filosofia. The founding editors were Augusto Guzzo and Giorgio Tonelli. Publication of International Studies in Philosophy was suspended with the completion of volume 40, issue 2 (2008), and the journal is now being reorganized in cooperation with the Philosophy Documentation Center
